Every year James Bay Community Project provides Christmas Hampers to families, children, youth and seniors. It helps people get through the holiday season with a bit more joy and a lot less stress – a simple donation of a gift certificate or new/unwrapped toys and items makes a big difference at Christmas.

Please consider donating a gift certificate from one of the following stores:

Thrifty Foods – Best Buy – Pharmasave/Shoppers Drugmart – Walmart – Bed Bath and Beyond – Toys R Us – Canadian Tire/ Home Hardware /Castle – Sport Chek – Specialty Grocery Stores – Yates Street Market – gift certificates to local restaurants.

We particularly need toys and items for children and youth. Thank you in advance for you support. You can drop off your donation at reception or contact Lisa Gleinzer for more information. ext.308

Message from the Chair

George Jamieson, Board Chair

Dear Friends and Supporters,

One of the great satisfactions of being part of the James Bay Community Project is seeing the difference we make to people in our neighbourhood and beyond. I listen to parents and young children in our Family Resource Centre, as they learn and laugh and share the joys and challenges of raising a family. I watch people of all ages find books in our Community Library, or clothing and accessories in the Community Closet. I see people sign up for health-related programs and workshops that help people make better food choices. I meet seniors who build and maintain social links in our building and in their homes.

We help these people connect with each other, and with services they need, because you help us. Your support means we can serve more people and make a difference in more lives. Simply put, we could not do as much as we do, without your help.On behalf of our Board of Directors, I thank you for your thoughtfulness and community spirit, any donation makes a difference and you are a big part of our work and our success.

Thank you for helping us achieve the satisfaction we experience every day at the James Bay Community Project.  And thank you in advance for any support you can contribute to our future efforts.

From our clients

  • As a result of the program I have met other parents and made good friends in the neighbourhood. It’s an excellent resource for parents.
