James Bay Community Project is looking for an Outreach Worker. This is a permanent, part-time bargaining unit position (25.5 hours per week), currently scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This position provides outreach and support services to assist seniors and people with disabilities to live safely and with good quality of life, to access needed services and resources, and to participate in their community. James Bay Community Project‘s Family Centre is looking for an on-call program facilitator for our busy family drop-in program. We are looking for someone with a combination of education and experience in child and youth care, early childhood education or social work. The ideal candidate will have a warm, welcoming manner, a knowledge of child and family development and community resources as well as finding a genuine pleasure in connecting with families and their young children from all walks of life. Being comfortable leading a short circle time and working alongside volunteers is part of the position, as is providing parent and child education programs. Current first-aid certificate and criminal records check required. $22.32/hr plus pay in lieu of statutory holidays. This position falls under the BCGEU Health Services & Support – Community Subsector collective agreement.
