James Bay Community Project‘s Family Centre is looking for an on-call program facilitator for our busy family drop-in program. We are looking for someone with a combination of education and experience in child and youth care, early childhood education or social work. The ideal candidate will have a warm, welcoming manner, a knowledge of child and family development and community resources as well as finding a genuine pleasure in connecting with families and their young children from all walks of life. Being comfortable leading a short circle time and working alongside volunteers is part of the position, as is providing parent and child education programs. Current first-aid certificate and criminal records check required. $22.32/hr plus pay in lieu of statutory holidays. This position falls under the BCGEU Health Services & Support – Community Subsector collective agreement.
