Chair Yoga continues

Chair yoga is ideal for seniors, pregnant women and anyone lacking the balance or physical strength to tolerate a traditional yoga class. Music will be used and the tone of the class is fun and somewhat social, making it great for people in need of connection and not ideal for people who are sensitive to sound.
Chair yoga is an adaptation of regular yoga in which exercises are done while sitting or holding onto a chair. By providing extra stability, the chair reduces anxiety and makes yoga a safe exercise for most older adults.
Uplifting music is incorporated into the class to create a fun and relaxing atmosphere for people to move in and socializing is encouraged. While balancing an individual’s physical, mental and emotional health, chair yoga increases strength, flexibility and concentration along with many other health benefits.
This class will be limited to 15 participants. As this is not a program that requires registration, to be sure of a spot/chair, early arrival is the best approach.
