Becoming a Volunteer:

1. Contact the Coordinator of Volunteers to schedule an interview/information session. Sessions take place Monday – Friday 9 am – 4 pm. Alternate times can be arranged.

2. If a volunteer opportunity is offered to you, references will be required. For some positions a Criminal Records Review is also required. Additionally, drivers who volunteer must have a class 5 licence, a clear Driver’s Abstract and 2 million dollars in third party liability insurance.

3. Once all the administration is complete new volunteers will be provided with an orientation prior to beginning volunteering.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

Capital City Volunteers, a sister agency to JBCP serving seniors and adults with disabilities in Victoria, has openings for some great volunteer opportunities in the following areas: Friendly visitors/companions, dog-walking, community outings and gardening.
