Family Resource Programs Association of BC is a not-for-profit provincial organization dedicated to promoting and supporting community-based Family Resource Programs. FRP-BC promotes the FRP model as a community hub where both Canadian born families and those new to Canada can access family support, opportunities for engagement, and community resources.
Capital Children (Community Action Program for Children) is a coalition of non-profit agencies providing servcie to families with children 0-6 years in Greater Victoria. Services include a variety of programs and parenting support such as Parent-tot Drop-ins, parenting eduction, clothing exchanges and more.

Partnership in Learning and Advocacy for Young Children (PLAY) Victoria is your one stop resource for information and support for early childhood development initiatives in our community. Here you will find the resources you need to be a more effective advocate for children and get connected with other early childhood development organizations in the community.
Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) provides information about public health nurses, programs for speech, hearing, nutritional and dental health.
Healthy Children provides general and health information and resources to help you through every stage of your child’s growth and development.
Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island (250.477.1826) offers services including Dieticians, Infant Development Consultants, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Language Pathologists, pre-natal courses and other parenting courses. Also offered are programs for parents of premature babies, a post-partum depression program, adoption support services, etc.
Single Parent Resource Centre offers free counselling, life skills programs and workshops, parenting skills and development courses, parenting support groups, a free store and mentoring opportunities. These courses are open to everyone in the community.
Inter-Cultural Association offers free prenatal and parenting classes to immigrants.
BC Nurseline (1.886.215.4700) is a toll-free 24-hour phone line to specially trained nurses about any questions/concerns related to you and/or your children’s health.
Speech and Hearing Services (250.388.2250) helps in assessments for speech and hearing loss. Parent groups also available.
Child Care Resource and Referral has a database of licensed childcare providers as well as information on how to choose a daycare. They can also help with childcare subsidy.
BC Families in Transition (formerly the Separation and Divorce Resource Centre) offers help through family changes, including separation and divorces, remarriages, blended family arrangements, and other complex family situations.
