Food Cupboard

JBCP maintains an emergency food cupboard for the use of local residents. We receive food donations from many community groups, including Thrifty Foods, Starbucks, The Michigan Street Community Garden, the James Bay United Church, and the Salvation Army. Volunteers come weekly from Ozanam Centre (St. Vincent de Paul) to make soup for staff and volunteers with the proceeds from soup sales going toward the food cupboard. In addition, we raise money through recycling, and "Buck a Book" sales to buy more food for the cupboard.
