Food Cupboard

JBCP maintains an emergency food cupboard for the use of local residents. We receive food donations from many community groups, including Thrifty Foods, Starbucks, The Michigan Street Community Garden, the James Bay United Church, and Salvation Army. Volunteers come weekly from Ozanam Centre (St. Vincent de Paul) to make soup for staff with the proceeds from soup sales going toward the food cupboard. In addition, we raise money through our soup making program, recycling, and "Buck a Book" sales to buy more food for the cupboard.
