Help! We need some bodies

James Bay Community Project and Capital City Volunteers need people to help with families, seniors, gardening, shopping, and friendly visiting in the James Bay neighborhood and beyond. It’s a great way to get to know your neighbours and your neighbourhood, by lending a helping hand!

1. We need at least three (3) people to help with morning programs at the Family Centre.
2. Seniors Social Connection on Thursdays needs a few people to help serve lunch and tidy up after.
3. The Children’s Garden needs a helper, as does our regular garden at JBCP.
4. The Community Closet Thrift Store needs volunteers to prepare donated clothing for shoppers, as well as other tasks at this social enterprise located at 435 Simcoe St. in the Thrifty’s Mall.
5. Both JBCP and Capital City Volunteers are looking for people who can be friendly companions, visiting seniors in James Bay and other neighborhoods.
For more information or to volunteer, please contact Kristyn Laver, Coordinator of Volunteers & Community Programs at or 250-388-7856 Ext. 308
