Capital City Volunteers is a non-profit social services agency that is collocated with the James Bay Community Project and is managed by James Bay Community Project. Staff from the two agencies function as one team.
CCV is looking for the right person to cover a maternity leave for the position of Outreach Worker. This position provides outreach and support services to assist seniors to live safely and with good quality of life, to access needed services and resources, and to participate in their community. The position is responsible for participant screening, participant needs assessment, and providing information about Capital City Volunteers’ services and other community resources. Work is one on one, with groups and in community presentation situations. The position works closely with the James Bay Community Project’s (JBCP’s) Seniors Outreach Worker and Coordinator of Volunteers and Community Programs, and with theBetter at Home Coordinator. This is a 38-hours/week position with an hourly wage of $26.50 and with statutory benefits. The start date is June 22nd, 2020. Please see the Job Description here
